All Questions
How much does pool cleaning cost in Sydney?
It depends on the pool's size, type, condition, nearby trees and how often it's serviced. Regular plans usually work out cheaper per visit than one-off cleans. We give free quotes for every pool.
How often should my pool be cleaned?
Most Sydney pools need weekly or fortnightly service in the warmer months and fortnightly or monthly in winter. Pools under trees or with heavy use need more frequent visits.
Do you service salt water pools?
Yes — salt, chlorine, mineral and magnesium pools. We test the water, check salt levels and inspect the chlorinator cell.
Can you fix a green pool?
Yes. Green pool recovery involves clearing debris, balancing the water, shocking the pool, cleaning the filter and vacuuming out dead algae. Neglected pools may need several visits.
Do I need to be home for the service?
No. As long as we have safe access to the pool and equipment, we'll complete the service and send you a photo report.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Sydney — from Palm Beach to Camden and Penrith to Cronulla.
How often should my pool be serviced in Sydney?
Most Sydney backyard pools do best with a weekly or fortnightly service in the warmer months and fortnightly or monthly in winter. Pools under trees or with heavy use usually need weekly visits.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we have safe access to the pool area and equipment, we can complete the service and send you a photo report.
Can I pause my plan over winter?
Yes — you can switch to a reduced winter schedule rather than stopping completely, which avoids a green pool in spring.
How long does it take to fix a green pool?
Mildly green pools often clear within one to three days. Very dark or swampy pools can take a week or more and several visits, depending on the filter and how much organic matter is in the water.
Is it safe to swim in a green pool?
No. Green water means the pool isn't properly sanitised and you can't see the bottom, which is a drowning risk. Wait until the water is clear and tested.
Will it turn green again?
Not if the water is kept balanced. Most green pools come from missed maintenance, which is why we offer regular plans after a recovery.
What chlorine level should my pool have?
Most home pools are kept at roughly 1–3 ppm free chlorine, with pH around 7.2–7.6. Your ideal levels depend on your pool type and stabiliser level, which is why we test on site.
Do you test salt water pools?
Yes. Salt pools still produce chlorine, so we test chlorine and pH as well as the salt level and check the chlorinator cell.
How often should a cartridge filter be cleaned?
Many Sydney pools need a cartridge clean every few months, and more often in summer or after storms. A rise in filter pressure is the best guide.
Can you replace filter sand or cartridges?
Yes — if the media or cartridge is worn out, we'll tell you and quote the replacement.
How often should a salt cell be cleaned?
It depends on your water and calcium levels, but many cells need checking every few months. White scale on the plates means it needs a clean.
Can you install a new pump or chlorinator?
We can supply and swap plug-in equipment. Any hard-wired electrical work is completed by a licensed electrician.
Do you do pool safety certificates?
No. In NSW, pool barrier compliance certificates are issued by councils or accredited certifiers. We can get the pool water and equipment looking its best before an inspection or sale.
Do you provide service records?
Yes. Every visit is logged with water readings and photos, which we can send to your strata or building manager.
How often should a spa be drained?
It depends on how often it's used, but many home spas are drained and refilled every few months. We'll recommend a schedule based on your usage.
